...a little goes a long way!
We all do know the old saying, but sometimes, and especially when we are planning a night out, a big party, or a wedding (our big day!) we seem to forget about it. And think big. We choose extravagant hair, bold makeup and the most amazing dress, and we hope that they will magically match together in the end.
Today's lesson comes straight from the red carpet and possibly the most captivating appearance in the Oscars' after-parties: Taylor Swift wearing an Alexandre Vauthier dress. She looks like a vision from top to toe and makes the perfect example that ...a little goes a long way.
Time to get into the details that created a divine image:
Clothes: The ellegant Alexandre Vauthier dress with the deep cuts is already a statement of its own. A touch of gold on the shoes, clutch bag and choker neckless adds shine to the fabric without being too much.
Hair: Excellent structured hair that are dyed in a color that compliments her skintone and the color of her eyes.
Make-up: Perfect complexion and softly contoured face. Eye-shadow in dark grey tones with the necessary touch of black for depth that clearly make her blue eyes stand out. Finally softly defined lips for ballance.
Always remember that clothes, make-up and hair styling should compliment each other and work together in unity to create a perfect image.

I love Helen Mirren and she really rocks this leather jacket on new ad for L'Oreal!
Helen Mirren is the new face for the Age Perfect skin care range of L'Oreal Paris. The 69-year old actress known for her wonderful performances "...She suggested renaming the entire cosmetics business. “It shouldn’t be called the beauty industry. They’ve got to find another word — the feeling good industry."..."
And I couldn't agree more: Beauty can't be bought in small containers. Beauty comes from within and it's only our inner beauty that matters! Thank you Helen for speaking up, I hope the world will listen!
This was just a prologue. Read the whole article by Caryn James and Helen Mirren's interview for The Wall Street Journal.
